The Asian-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry–International Society of Neurochemistry School 2025 (APSN–ISN School 2025) warmly welcomes all students, postgraduate trainees, and early-career scientists to an inspiring week of learning and collaboration. The School will be held from 7–13 December 2025 at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), under the theme “Emerging Techniques in Neurochemical Genomics: From Data Analysis to Biological Interpretation.”
This year’s theme highlights the growing convergence between neurochemistry, genomics, and data science—a frontier that is transforming our understanding of the brain. The APSN–ISN School 2025 aims to equip participants with essential skills and conceptual understanding of how large-scale neurochemical and genomic data can be integrated and interpreted to reveal novel insights into brain function, plasticity, and disease mechanisms.
Throughout the seven-day programme, participants will engage in a rich blend of hands-on laboratory workshops, expert lectures, data analysis tutorials, and interactive panel discussions. World-renowned scientists and regional experts will guide participants through the latest experimental and computational techniques in neurochemical genomics, covering topics such as transcriptomic profiling, molecular pathway mapping, and bioinformatics-driven biological interpretation. In addition, there will be sessions dedicated to career development, mentorship, and scientific communication, creating opportunities for young neuroscientists to learn directly from global mentors and to build enduring professional networks across the Asia-Pacific region.
The School will also feature poster presentation sessions, allowing participants to showcase their own research and receive constructive feedback from peers and experts. These sessions aim to cultivate scientific exchange, foster creativity, and inspire interdisciplinary collaboration among young researchers.
In recognition of the vital role of innovation and technology in neuroscience research, the APSN–ISN School 2025 is proud to include strong partnerships with industry leaders and scientific technology providers. Industry partners will have the opportunity to showcase their products, research tools, and analytical platforms throughout the week. These sessions will allow companies to demonstrate cutting-edge technologies—from advanced imaging systems and molecular assay kits to bioinformatics software and AI-based analysis platforms—and engage directly with participants, fostering meaningful dialogue between academia and industry. Such collaboration is essential for translating laboratory discoveries into real-world applications and accelerating the development of neurochemical and genomic research tools.
The APSN–ISN School 2025 thus represents more than a scientific training event—it is a collaborative platform that brings together academia, industry, and young talent to advance neuroscience education and research capacity in the region. We invite you to join us in Malaysia this December to experience a stimulating exchange of ideas, forge new collaborations, and immerse yourself in an inspiring environment where science meets innovation.
Welcome to the APSN–ISN School 2025—where discovery, innovation, and collaboration begin.
